Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Egchelheides's Sebastian Stamate started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Delft's Gerrit Kemper seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gerrit Kemper the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Delft protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gerrit Kemper had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 3rd minute, one of Delft:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Delft. Sebastian Stamate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clarke Travers in the 12th minute of play forced Delft's goalkeeper Ivo Alkema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Clarke Travers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Alkema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Ivo Alkema managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Egchelheides's Clarke Travers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 26 minutes, Clarke Travers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egchelheides's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clarke Travers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mike Hellemons kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Henry Saveneij blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeroen Zoet having to make a save. Sebastian Stamate succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 31st playminute. When Egchelheides's Clarke Travers in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Delft's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute, Clarke Travers fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Clarke Travers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ivo Alkema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clarke Travers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Henry Saveneij came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Delft fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Saveneij couldn't finish the play. Clarke Travers scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivo Alkema, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boukjan Bronkhorst during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Stamate placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Delft's Ivo Alkema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Stamate in the 75th minute of play. After some careless play in the Delft defense, Clarke Travers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivo Alkema. The Delft fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivo Alkema should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Stamate in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivo Alkema prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Henry Saveneij hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Koeling charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Koeling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeroen Zoet made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Henry Saveneij sent off a good shot on target. Henry Saveneij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Egchelheides players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
