When Reinier Reinders fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wilderhof HC's protests and gave Reinier Reinders a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Wilderhof HC's Reinier Reinders got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孟海棋 in the 6th minute of play forced Wilderhof HC's goalkeeper Simon de Haan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Stamate in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon de Haan saved Wilderhof HC from getting behind. Simon de Haan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clarke Travers's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Wilderhof HC's Simon de Haan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clarke Travers in the 18th minute of play. Simon de Haan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Stamate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon de Haan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Stamate's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Egchelheides's 孟海棋 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon de Haan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Clarke Travers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon de Haan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孟海棋 in the 37th minute of play forced Wilderhof HC's goalkeeper Simon de Haan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolf Kremer's late challenge caught a Egchelheides's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudolf Kremer helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Clarke Travers put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Simon de Haan. Clarke Travers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Simon de Haan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Egchelheides were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Clarke Travers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon de Haan was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Sebastian Stamate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Wilderhof HC's zone, Clarke Travers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon de Haan came out of the goal and Clarke Travers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the last second Simon de Haan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Clarke Travers in the 66thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Sebastian Stamate's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Simon de Haan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Reinier Reinders hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Simon de Haan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from 孟海棋. With a little luck, Wilderhof HC's Simon de Haan got control of the ball when Sebastian Stamate tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Sebastian Stamate made a precise shot to the right of Simon de Haan. Wilderhof HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Clarke Travers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 孟海棋 in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon de Haan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon de Haan came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Egchelheides's 孟海棋. But to his dismay, 孟海棋 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 93 minutes into the game, Egchelheides's Sebastian Stamate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon de Haan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The Wilderhof HC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Egchelheides were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
