Ivo Alkema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Sadurni in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Delft getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Henry Saveneij hit a great ball. Henry Saveneij came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hendrik de Zwart could save by the left post. Hendrik de Zwart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan Bronkhorst in the 25th minute of play. When Lithooien S.V.'s Dario Sadurni in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Delft's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lithooien S.V. the free kick. After 54 played minutes Delft got a freekick which was hit by Henry Saveneij. When Robert Koeling fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delft's protests and gave Robert Koeling a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Delft's Robert Koeling got a free kick in the 56th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Lithooien S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Henry Saveneij came free, but Hendrik de Zwart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerrit Kemper kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Steve Wander made a precise shot to the right of Hendrik de Zwart. Hendrik de Zwart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Wander, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Dario Sadurni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Ivo Alkema made a huge save. There was no doubt that Delft were the better team. Delft's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
