With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jurre Beukenkamp in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sjef de Haan saved MVV Maastricht from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Rietven HC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Fleur came free, but Rolf Kimman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Rietven HC defense, Maurits Ruben kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolf Kimman. The Rietven HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolf Kimman should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 87 in the game by Maarten Colen from a close distance when the talented Rolf Kimman managed to make a qualified save. Rietven HC's players were relieved. In the 88th minute Mathijs de Zee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sjef de Haan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurre Beukenkamp in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Maarten Colen could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Rolf Kimman however easily saved by the left post. 95 minutes into the match, MVV Maastricht's goal looked a bit too open when Jurre Beukenkamp came free, but Sjef de Haan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, MVV Maastricht's Ricky Mol got a free kick in the 96th minute. MVV Maastricht played a much better game than Rietven HC and deserved their victory. The Rietven HC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
