Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1875, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roderick van Boxel kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Rietven HC's Damien Struik got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roderick van Boxel in the 7th minute of play forced Rietven HC's goalkeeper Rolf Kimman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roderick van Boxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Best Štriker hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Rietven HC defense, Roderick van Boxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolf Kimman. The Rietven HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolf Kimman should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Nildo Matos sped through Rietven HC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolf Kimman. 20 minutes into the match, Rietven HC's goal looked a bit too open when Best Štriker came free, but Rolf Kimman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22ndth minute of the game Roderick van Boxel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rietven HC's Rolf Kimman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marco Mook scored 0-4 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolf Kimman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Nildo Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolf Kimman. Rietven HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nildo Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After some careless play in the Rietven HC defense, Roderick van Boxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolf Kimman. The Rietven HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolf Kimman should have stopped the shot. Rolf Kimman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nildo Matos went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The supporters of Seagulls booed when Rietven HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damien Struik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolf Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roderick van Boxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 46 minutes on the clock, Thomas van Dijk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Rietven HC's Thomas van Dijk got a free kick in the 47th minute. Seagulls's Marco Mook got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Seagulls were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Roderick van Galen made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Rietven HC's goalkeeper Rolf Kimman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Mook. In the 56th minute, Roderick van Boxel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolf Kimman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Rolf Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roderick van Boxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roderick van Boxel in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolf Kimman saved Rietven HC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo Matos got free with Rolf Kimman in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Seagulls fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Seagulls's Roderick van Boxel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 70 played minutes Rietven HC got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Bense. Seagulls's Ben Rensenbrink shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rolf Kimman but with some difficulty. Roderick van Boxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Kimman having to interfere. Nildo Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Nildo Matos made a precise shot to the right of Rolf Kimman. Rietven HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. In the 79th minute Roderick van Boxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Zwart kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With a little luck, Rietven HC's Rolf Kimman got control of the ball when Ben Rensenbrink tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Rietven HC's goalkeeper Rolf Kimman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roderick van Boxel. In the 87th minute, Nildo Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seagulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. When Roderick van Boxel came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Seagulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roderick van Boxel couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Marco Mook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Seagulls booed when Rietven HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Meijeringh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Nildo Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seagulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Nildo Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Kimman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute Roderick van Boxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
