Jan Geers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rob Kort having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pieter Kaspers in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rob Kort saved Biervliet from getting behind. Rob Kort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Geers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes of play, Northern Titans's Jan Geers made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rob Kort was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Henry Bakker notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Northern Titans's Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen. Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pieter Kaspers kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip de Vries got free with Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute of the match Rogier Kort sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rob Kort skillfully saved the ball. Rob Kort took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieter Kaspers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rob Kort showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter Kaspers in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Northern Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Ab van Zwam came free, but Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Bert Struik put in a rough tackle. Bert Struik hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Filip de Vries fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Fred Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Geers made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Northern Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Ab van Zwam came free, but Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Geers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Biervliet's goalkeeper Rob Kort had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neeme Van Achteren. After having played for 63 minutes, Neeme Van Achteren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northern Titans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neeme Van Achteren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute Jan Geers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Kort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ab van Zwam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen having to interfere. Maikel Lammers might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rob Kort. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maikel Lammers ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute Maikel Lammers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Kort saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip de Vries charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip de Vries the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filip de Vries hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Northern Titans's Menno Heck got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Northern Titans's goal looked a bit too open when Filip de Vries came free, but Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Biervliet booed when Northern Titans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter Kaspers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes of play, Biervliet's Florian Deuring made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martijn Boezeman's late challenge caught a Biervliet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martijn Boezeman helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Northern Titans got a freekick which was hit by Martijn Boezeman. 97 minutes in the game Geert Bouwman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ab van Zwam. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Biervliet fans cheered their team off the field, for while Northern Titans had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
