Nico-Jan Geerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Anghelescu in the 5th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Anghelescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nico-Jan Geerts was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the game, Attilio Casciano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nico-Jan Geerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerard Daamen took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nico-Jan Geerts. Nico-Jan Geerts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Anghelescu in the 16th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico-Jan Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Daamen in the 17th minute of play. Nico-Jan Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijs Wagenaar in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Sebastian Anghelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico-Jan Geerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Kjell-Arne Västerstrand put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Nico-Jan Geerts. 41 minutes into the match, Gerard Daamen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nico-Jan Geerts. Springplank FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerard Daamen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Nico-Jan Geerts came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Diermen HC's Sebastian Anghelescu. But to his dismay, Sebastian Anghelescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Nico-Jan Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Anghelescu in the 47th minute of play. Nico-Jan Geerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Västerstrand in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Anghelescu to make the kick off. With a little luck, Springplank FC's Nico-Jan Geerts got control of the ball when Sebastian Anghelescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Anghelescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Nico-Jan Geerts made a huge save. Springplank FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Gerard Daamen scored to the left of an out of position Nico-Jan Geerts, making the score, 0-9. 58 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's René Terpstra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristoffer Nordfeldt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Sebastian Anghelescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nico-Jan Geerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. In the 62nd play minute Gijs Wagenaar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nico-Jan Geerts. 0-11. Nico-Jan Geerts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Attilio Casciano went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Geerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Anghelescu. Nico-Jan Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Daamen in the 70th minute of play. Springplank FC's Nico-Jan Geerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Springplank FC from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the game, Sebastian Anghelescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Springplank FC's Nico-Jan Geerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Daamen in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Anghelescu got free with Nico-Jan Geerts in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Geerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerard Daamen. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gerard Daamen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diermen HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Daamen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico-Jan Geerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Wessel during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Springplank FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Wessel to maneuver through the defense. Springplank FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Sebastian Anghelescu scored to the left of an out of position Nico-Jan Geerts, making the score, 0-15.
