Steedshoger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerrit Hooiveld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Martien Sandstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Gerrit Hooiveld put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Rudi Ebbinge. 28 minutes into the match, Steedshoger's goal looked a bit too open when Martien Sandstra came free, but Rudi Ebbinge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jos Gerrits in the 92nd minute of the match.
