Spookberg's Piet Hermansyah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirko Mos in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Springplank FC defense, Fernanco Barma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jef Meyer. The Springplank FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jef Meyer should have stopped the shot. Mirko Mos struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Piet Hermansyah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Springplank FC. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernanco Barma made a kick off. Sipke Saeijs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jef Meyer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Spookberg's Ed Lubbers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jef Meyer. That made the score 0-5 after 83 minutes of play. Spookberg played a much better game than Springplank FC and deserved their victory. The Springplank FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
