Pedrão Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wieslaw Posadzki, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Wieslaw Posadzki scored 2-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedrão Sarmento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valio Tammisto in the 22nd minute of the match. Jaap van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Azubeli in the 26th minute of the match. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Azubeli in the 26th minute of play. After 47 played minutes, Kelmond S.C.'s Geale Colen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kelmond S.C. reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valio Tammisto was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Kelmond S.C. booed when Westenenk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aktaç Tansan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kelmond S.C.'s Han ten Rouwelaar suffered a concussion after 53 minutes and had to leave the field. Aktaç Tansan was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kelmond S.C.'s Tom Kleefstra was substituted for Han ten Rouwelaar. After 54 played minutes Westenenk got a freekick which was hit by Aktaç Tansan. In the 88th match minute, Kelmond S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geale Colen to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Roeland van Zaanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaap van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Westenenk had won after a very even match.
