Spectators: 8268 (Terracing: 6250, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 168) Diermen HC's Sebastian Anghelescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Sava Nišavić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Diermen HC's zone, Jos Gerrits stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristoffer Nordfeldt came out of the goal and Jos Gerrits tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6thth minute of the game Jos Gerrits who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diermen HC's Kristoffer Nordfeldt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th match minute, Steedshoger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk-Jan Numan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Diermen HC booed when Steedshoger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk-Jan Numan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Anghelescu got free with Rudi Ebbinge in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steedshoger's Rudi Ebbinge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Steedshoger from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the game, Diermen HC's Gerard Meertens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudi Ebbinge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Diermen HC's Kristoffer Nordfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jos Gerrits in the 18th minute of play. When Steedshoger's Jos Gerrits in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diermen HC's goalie prevented a goal. 23 minutes into the match, Steedshoger's goalkeeper Rudi Ebbinge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Anghelescu. Kjell-Arne Västerstrand took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudi Ebbinge. Rudi Ebbinge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Rudi Ebbinge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Anghelescu in the 32nd minute. After 35 minutes, Koen Ros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steedshoger and the Diermen HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Koen Ros hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Västerstrand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudi Ebbinge. Steedshoger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell-Arne Västerstrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Rudi Ebbinge was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Gerard Meertens capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerard Meertens really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. In the 45th minute, Jos Gerrits got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Sebastian Anghelescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Rudi Ebbinge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Gerard Meertens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rudi Ebbinge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Steedshoger defense, Sebastian Anghelescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudi Ebbinge. The Steedshoger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudi Ebbinge should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute Sebastian Anghelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi Ebbinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rudi Ebbinge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijs Wagenaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Steedshoger's Rudi Ebbinge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Anghelescu in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Anghelescu in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudi Ebbinge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rudi Ebbinge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Casciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Attilio Casciano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudi Ebbinge was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sebastian Anghelescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diermen HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Anghelescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudi Ebbinge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kristoffer Nordfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jos Gerrits in the 74th minute of the match. Rudi Ebbinge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Anghelescu in the 77th minute of play. Kjell-Arne Västerstrand kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Rudi Ebbinge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Meertens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Steedshoger's Henk-Jan Numan got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Sebastian Anghelescu made a precise shot to the right of Rudi Ebbinge. Steedshoger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Gerard Meertens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudi Ebbinge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Casciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Rudi Ebbinge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Anghelescu in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Diermen HC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
