Kelmond S.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Diermen HC's Kristoffer Nordfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrit Hooiveld in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Diermen HC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ab Friebel hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Diermen HC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Kjell-Arne Västerstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The penalty shot was made by Geale Colen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Diermen HC's Kristoffer Nordfeldt. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Martien Sandstra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristoffer Nordfeldt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 54 minutes into the game, Kelmond S.C.'s Roeland van Zaanen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristoffer Nordfeldt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ton Kolman charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ton Kolman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute of the match, Roeland van Zaanen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kristoffer Nordfeldt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kelmond S.C.'s Pedrão Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Västerstrand in the 70th minute of play. If Martien Sandstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerrit Hooiveld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Kristoffer Nordfeldt made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Gerrit Hooiveld could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Kristoffer Nordfeldt however easily saved by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kelmond S.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
