Vadim Ilyin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hernani Messias firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 22nd minute Piara Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henk-Jan Appel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bovenkarspel getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pepijn van Boxel hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes Bergeikers got a freekick which was hit by Piara Batistuta. In the 40th minute Piara Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henk-Jan Appel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 肖建云 hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Bergeikers's Hernani Messias got control of the ball when Vadim Ilyin tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Piara Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. Henk-Jan Appel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 肖建云 in the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Bovenkarspel's goalkeeper Henk-Jan Appel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piara Batistuta. Henk-Jan Appel was a little too slow when Piara Batistuta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by 肖建云 in the 84th minute of play forced Bovenkarspel's goalkeeper Henk-Jan Appel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piara Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piara Batistuta got free with Henk-Jan Appel in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Bovenkarspel manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Bergeikers to win.
