Karel Zilverberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aílton Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Prins in the 15th minute of the match. Xiao Chang Chao struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jeroen Kimman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as AVV Zeeburgia's Xiao Chang Chao slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeroen Kimman. That made the score 7-0 after 37 minutes of play. Xiao Chang Chao took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeroen Kimman. Jeroen Kimman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some careless play in the Vuilendam defense, Xiao Chang Chao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeroen Kimman. The Vuilendam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeroen Kimman should have stopped the shot. Vuilendam's Jeroen Kimman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Servet Akburç in the 56th minute of play. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Aurel Gârleanu sped through Vuilendam's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeroen Kimman. AVV Zeeburgia's Aílton Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save AVV Zeeburgia from getting a goal against them. Jeroen Kimman came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by AVV Zeeburgia's Xiao Chang Chao. But to his dismay, Xiao Chang Chao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 17-0.
