Rudolf Rijaard helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Vuilendam got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Rijaard. After a defensive mix-up in Vuilendam's zone, Thijs Seedorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeroen Kimman came out of the goal and Thijs Seedorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bennie van Assen hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Jan Hendrik Paas kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Jeroen Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnold Holthuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Hans Lyle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Jeroen Kimman made a huge save. Schoonloo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
