To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henk Kikkert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Gio Elders when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gio Elders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Kikkert went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Adam Buksa scored 3-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiel Huiting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adam Buksa hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, VV Zonnedael's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis de Vries came free, but Emiel Huiting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henk Kikkert's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gio Elders firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dirk Pluym sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes VV Zonnedael got a freekick which was hit by Franck de Haan. In the 94th minute of the match Arno Rijaard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiel Huiting showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hønefoss BK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
