In the 4th minute, Thijs Seedorf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 5 played minutes Young Boys Enschede got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Teunissen. 6 minutes into the match, Jan Hendrik Paas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacco Heesen. Young Boys Enschede's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Hendrik Paas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jacco Heesen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bennie van Assen in the 10th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Young Boys Enschede got a freekick which was hit by Jacco Lanting. Mario Cramer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Thijs Seedorf made a precise shot to the right of Jacco Heesen. Young Boys Enschede's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Schoonloo fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Schoonloo's Thijs Seedorf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jacco Heesen came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Schoonloo's Arnold Holthuis. But to his dismay, Arnold Holthuis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Arnold Holthuis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacco Heesen having to make a save. 36 minutes into the game, Schoonloo's Thijs Seedorf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacco Heesen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The Schoonloo fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Schoonloo's Thijs Seedorf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 43 minutes into the game, Schoonloo's Thijs Seedorf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacco Heesen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mark de Zwaan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bennie van Assen hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Arnold Holthuis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacco Heesen. The goal made the score 0-9. Young Boys Enschede's Jacco Heesen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Young Boys Enschede from getting a goal against them. Jacco Heesen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 0-10. When Schoonloo's Thijs Seedorf in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Young Boys Enschede's goalie prevented a goal. Jacco Heesen came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Schoonloo's Arnold Holthuis. But to his dismay, Arnold Holthuis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thijs Seedorf in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacco Heesen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Schoonloo fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Schoonloo's Thijs Seedorf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Robin Mos kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute Schoonloo were awarded a corner. Mario Cramer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 86th minute, Hans Lyle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schoonloo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. In the 94th minute Hans Lyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacco Heesen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Schoonloo played a much better game than Young Boys Enschede and deserved their victory. The Young Boys Enschede players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
