The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hans Hoezen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Roland Geitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Geitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Zakrzewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Barnaba Zakrzewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Schoonloo's goal looked a bit too open when Marnix Palsma came free, but Roland Geitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Schoonloo's players were relieved. 26 minutes into the match, Corky United's goal looked a bit too open when Bennie van Assen came free, but Rafael Evans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Corky United's Barnaba Zakrzewski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roland Geitz. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. In the 38th minute Sander Breinburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Evans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Hoezen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Geitz having to interfere. Roland Geitz made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Hans Hoezen sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thijs Seedorf to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Hans Hoezen made a precise shot to the right of Roland Geitz. Schoonloo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Barnaba Zakrzewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roland Geitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Barnaba Zakrzewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Geitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Hendrik Paas got free with Rafael Evans in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute of the match Schoonloo got a corner. Corky United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Cramer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Schoonloo's corner Mario Cramer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rafael Evans quite easily take care of the ball. After 62 minutes of play, Schoonloo's Jan Hendrik Paas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Evans was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Corky United booed when Schoonloo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Plagge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Han Wotte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corky United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Han Wotte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sander Breinburg charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sander Breinburg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Corky United booed when Schoonloo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Breinburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Corky United's Rafael Evans got control of the ball when Sander Breinburg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corky United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Schoonloo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
