The supporters of The Dalwhinnie Boys booed when Ajax Amsterdam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo de Vos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Klaus Bas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Dalwhinnie Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaus Bas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvydas Turskis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bjorn Panter made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Hermengildo Txeru sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute of the match, Hermengildo Txeru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bjorn Panter was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alvydas Turskis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Bas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ajax Amsterdam's Alvydas Turskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Kristoffers in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Dalwhinnie Boys fully deserved thier win.
