Karel de Zee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Laurens de Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cadier's Laurens de Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Cadier from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the match, Cadier's goal looked a bit too open when Berry Visscher came free, but Laurens de Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Evert van der Struijk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurens de Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Hans Beishuizen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergstraat's goalkeeper Christiaan Kolkman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurens de Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karel de Zee in the 22nd minute. Cadier's Laurens de Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Luijten in the 23rd minute of play. With 24 minutes on the clock, Arnold Robbermond commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, Bergstraat's Mark Raatjes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Laurens de Freitas. 31 minutes into the game, Karel de Zee lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Laurens de Freitas. After 35 played minutes Cadier got a freekick which was hit by Arie Vondel. In the 44th minute, Bert Lanting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Hans Beishuizen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cadier fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

With a little luck, Bergstraat's Christiaan Kolkman got control of the ball when Hub Roelofsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christiaan Kolkman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Beishuizen's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Hub Roelofsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiaan Kolkman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hub Roelofsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Laurens de Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karel de Zee in the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Bergstraat booed when Cadier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfred van der Laan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Evert van der Struijk notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Cadier's Laurens de Freitas. Laurens de Freitas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hub Roelofsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Beishuizen in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christiaan Kolkman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Evert van der Struijk's late challenge caught a Cadier's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert van der Struijk helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bergstraat's Evert van der Struijk got a free kick in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hub Roelofsen got free with Christiaan Kolkman in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bergstraat had won after a very even match.
