In the 27th minute, Rudi Kielstra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33 played minutes Bergstraat got a freekick which was hit by Jan Luijten. Rolf Ranzijn took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiaan Kolkman. Christiaan Kolkman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Rolf Ranzijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert van der Struijk kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Rudi Kielstra struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Christiaan Kolkman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wadwaai FC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Luijten was the one to do the kick off. Wadwaai FC's Rolf Ranzijn got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kenneth Theissen hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wadwaai FC had won after a very even match.
