Martin Soer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rik Wikenburg in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Mosk's goal looked a bit too open when Rik Wikenburg came free, but Martin Soer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Havikeld FC's goalkeeper Markku Kankaanpää had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Ostermann. If Rik Wikenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Soer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rik Wikenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Berry Korevaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markku Kankaanpää saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mosk's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Henk Appeldoorn in the 23rd minute. Berend Coopman made a great header on Mosk's corner, it was just that Havikeld FC's Markku Kankaanpää managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 25th minute of the game Govert Wilhelm made a throw-in which Menno Adams played forward. Rik Wikenburg might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Soer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rik Wikenburg ran back to his position shaking his head. Markku Kankaanpää made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoon Baars in the 36th minute of play. Rik Wikenburg scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Soer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Govert Wilhelm's late challenge caught a Havikeld FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Govert Wilhelm helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mosk getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Govert Wilhelm hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Berry Korevaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Havikeld FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rik Wikenburg struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Martin Soer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Havikeld FC. Markku Kankaanpää showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berry Korevaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Hendrik-Jan Huizinga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Havikeld FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrik-Jan Huizinga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markku Kankaanpää showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Ostermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Roland Ostermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markku Kankaanpää saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Havikeld FC's Rik Wikenburg got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Havikeld FC's Markku Kankaanpää played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoon Baars in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mosk's goalkeeper Martin Soer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rik Wikenburg. Antoon Baars took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markku Kankaanpää. Markku Kankaanpää dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Rik Wikenburg came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Havikeld FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rik Wikenburg couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Felix Dijkstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Havikeld FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
