Seating: 1930, VIP seats: 166) Rudi Kielstra started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Arie Vondel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wadwaai FC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Cadier got a freekick which was hit by Arie Vondel. 4 minutes into the match, Kenneth Theissen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurens de Freitas. Cadier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kenneth Theissen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cadier's Laurens de Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudi Kielstra in the 7th minute of play. Laurens de Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Ranzijn in the 9th minute of play. Rolf Ranzijn might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurens de Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolf Ranzijn ran back to his position shaking his head. Cadier's Wilfred van der Laan suffered a sore knee after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 17 minutes into the game, Alfred Saarberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wadwaai FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cadier the free kick. Cadier made a substitution. Ab Doren replaced Wilfred van der Laan. Hans Beishuizen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Rick Rinzema 20 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Cadier's goal looked a bit too open when Foeke Rodenberg came free, but Laurens de Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hans Beishuizen charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Beishuizen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Hans Beishuizen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rick Rinzema was a little too slow when Hans Beishuizen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-1. Laurens de Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudi Kielstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Hans Beishuizen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 38 in the game by Hans Beishuizen from a close distance when the talented Rick Rinzema managed to make a qualified save. Wadwaai FC's players were relieved. In the 45th minute, Rolf Ranzijn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens de Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hans Beishuizen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Han Venema hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Laurens de Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudi Kielstra in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Erwin Bömker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolf Ranzijn got free with Laurens de Freitas in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laurens de Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Foeke Rodenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Eric Dowie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wadwaai FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes Cadier got a freekick which was hit by Eric Dowie. Laurens de Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Foeke Rodenberg in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Wadwaai FC's Falco Jansen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Falco Jansen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Wadwaai FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Falco Jansen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 68th minute of the match Erwin Bömker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rick Rinzema skillfully saved the ball. Rolf Ranzijn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Laurens de Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rick Rinzema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Beishuizen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Beishuizen in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rick Rinzema prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laurens de Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Han Venema, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Rolf Ranzijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Laurens de Freitas made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Wadwaai FC's zone, Arnold Robbermond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rick Rinzema came out of the goal and Arnold Robbermond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rick Rinzema stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Beishuizen's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 88 minutes, Han Venema mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wadwaai FC and the Cadier players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Wadwaai FC got a freekick which was hit by Rudi Kielstra. Erwin Bömker, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cadier had won after a very even match.
