A collision led to De Rammers FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arjan Rieks hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, De Rammers FC's Bertus de Swart threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Evaggelos Polizos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nisse's Bert Teesing quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Menno Maseland, made in the 28th minute of the game. Humberto Stroeve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Dekkers, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Vali Acatincăi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nisse's Bertus de Swart. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vali Acatincăi was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nisse's zone, Evaggelos Polizos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertus de Swart came out of the goal and Evaggelos Polizos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Johannes Haan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertus de Swart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Nick Talsma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Rammers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nisse the free kick. In the 62nd match minute, De Rammers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Talsma to maneuver through the defense.
