The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Lembeck should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Eindhoven Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest van der Laan came free, but Ronald Baaijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilco Theuws hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Henry Lembeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niek Rijaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luuk Meppelink hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Jan-Joost Roodenburg came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Eindhoven Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Joost Roodenburg couldn't finish the play. Henry Lembeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Joost Roodenburg in the 30th minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Eindhoven Sport Club! Ernest van der Laan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ronald Baaijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Eindhoven Sport Club getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jan-Joost Roodenburg hit a great ball. Ronald Baaijen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdi Dekens in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Yasin Yasin made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Zijdewind SC's Rudi den Hartog made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronald Baaijen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Joost Roodenburg came free, but Henry Lembeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pieter-Jan van der Laan fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zijdewind SC's protests and gave Pieter-Jan van der Laan a yellow card for diving instead. Zijdewind SC's Henry Lembeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasin Yasin in the 69th minute of play. Henry Lembeck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yasin Yasin went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the game, Yasin Yasin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Henry Lembeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 played minutes, Eindhoven Sport Club's Arif Egemen Durna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Lembeck came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eindhoven Sport Club reached it. Yasin Yasin took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Lembeck. Henry Lembeck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Yasin Yasin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Lembeck having to interfere. The Eindhoven Sport Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eindhoven Sport Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
