Spectators: 8560 (Terracing: 6421, Seating: 1968, VIP seats: 171) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jos Maseland started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Emil Fährmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in AJAX AMSTERDAM's zone, Frits Gronden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerry Cartwright came out of the goal and Frits Gronden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Eustacio Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerry Cartwright. AJAX AMSTERDAM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 15 played minutes AJAX AMSTERDAM got a freekick which was hit by Marco Spijker. AJAX AMSTERDAM's Gerry Cartwright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Gronden in the 17th minute of play. When Michael Blank fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AJAX AMSTERDAM's protests and gave Michael Blank a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, AJAX AMSTERDAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Blank to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Florian Zilverberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Kwakel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 24 minutes into the game, Eustacio Medina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gerry Cartwright was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harm Rooy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jos Maseland in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, AJAX AMSTERDAM's goal looked a bit too open when Martien Zwart came free, but Gerry Cartwright reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerry Cartwright stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustacio Medina's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Pepijn van Dalfsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harm Rooy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jos Maseland in the 36th minute. Frits Gronden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AJAX AMSTERDAM's Gerry Cartwright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Zilverberg in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, De Kwakel FC's Paul Brouwer got a free kick in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Zilverberg in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerry Cartwright saved AJAX AMSTERDAM from getting behind. Gerry Cartwright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Medina in the 46th minute of play. After the first half De Kwakel FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florian Zilverberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, AJAX AMSTERDAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Blank to maneuver through the defense. In the 51st minute of the match Frits Gronden sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerry Cartwright skillfully saved the ball. Lazarus Mangope kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 minutes of play, De Kwakel FC's Eustacio Medina made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerry Cartwright was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerry Cartwright was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Florian Zilverberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Florian Zilverberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Eustacio Medina put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Gerry Cartwright. If Levi De Vaddere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Eustacio Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Kwakel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Medina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerry Cartwright breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerry Cartwright didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florian Zilverberg went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute of the match, Florian Zilverberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gerry Cartwright saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 85 minutes AJAX AMSTERDAM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frits Gronden who took care of the corner kick. Harm Rooy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levi De Vaddere in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 minutes of play, De Kwakel FC's Florian Zilverberg made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerry Cartwright was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerry Cartwright was a little too slow when Florian Zilverberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-11. De Kwakel FC played a much better game than AJAX AMSTERDAM and deserved their victory. The AJAX AMSTERDAM players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
