The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, AJAX AMSTERDAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levi De Vaddere to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Jan Rein de Boer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AJAX AMSTERDAM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Ahlbeck in the 8th minute of play forced AJAX AMSTERDAM's goalkeeper Antony Warnier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th match minute, AJAX AMSTERDAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Hulzebos to maneuver through the defense. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AJAX AMSTERDAM booed when Roelage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Schuurmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Roelage's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Rein de Boer came free, but Pierre Peeters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Roelage defense, Levi De Vaddere kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Peeters. The Roelage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Peeters should have stopped the shot. Derk Scheer kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Antony Warnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Toscano in the 33rd minute of play. Roelage's 白棋军 got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half AJAX AMSTERDAM were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Toscano was the one to do the kick off. Antony Warnier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 白棋军 in the 53rd minute of the match. After 56 played minutes AJAX AMSTERDAM got a freekick which was hit by Lazarus Mangope. 57 minutes into the match, AJAX AMSTERDAM's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Toscano came free, but Antony Warnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levi De Vaddere in the 60th minute of play forced Roelage's goalkeeper Pierre Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Roelage's zone, Levi De Vaddere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Peeters came out of the goal and Levi De Vaddere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AJAX AMSTERDAM's Antony Warnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 白棋军 in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Roelage's Kenneth Forssberg got a free kick in the 91st minute. AJAX AMSTERDAM's Levi De Vaddere got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antony Warnier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 彭磊烽, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
