The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Eindhoven Sport Club's Cristo Nafarroa got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Florian Zilverberg put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ronald Baaijen. After 9 played minutes Eindhoven Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Joost Roodenburg. In the 10th minute, Florian Zilverberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronald Baaijen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 13th minute, Eindhoven Sport Club's Oscar de Graaf seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Oscar de Graaf the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Eindhoven Sport Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Oscar de Graaf had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of De Kwakel FC booed when Eindhoven Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar de Graaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronald Baaijen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when De Kwakel FC's Eustacio Medina shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 19th minute, Frits Gronden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronald Baaijen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After having played for 26 minutes, Frits Gronden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Kwakel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frits Gronden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronald Baaijen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martien Zwart, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florian Zilverberg in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Baaijen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Florian Zilverberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronald Baaijen. Eindhoven Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Zilverberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnold Vaalman in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Baaijen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arif Egemen Durna hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes Eindhoven Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Wansink. With a little luck, Eindhoven Sport Club's Ronald Baaijen got control of the ball when Florian Zilverberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 played minutes Eindhoven Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Leoncio Cea. 60 minutes into the match, Eindhoven Sport Club's Niek Rijaard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harm Rooy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martien Zwart was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ronald Baaijen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frits Gronden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnold Vaalman hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Martien Zwart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald Baaijen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. When De Kwakel FC's Florian Zilverberg in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Harm Rooy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eindhoven Sport Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Eustacio Medina scored to the left of an out of position Ronald Baaijen, making the score, 1-6. Ronald Baaijen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Vaalman in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, De Kwakel FC's Martien Zwart ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronald Baaijen. Ronald Baaijen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. De Kwakel FC played a much better game than Eindhoven Sport Club and deserved their victory. The Eindhoven Sport Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
