After some careless play in the AJAX AMSTERDAM defense, Kostas Keskeridis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antony Warnier. The AJAX AMSTERDAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antony Warnier should have stopped the shot. When Rudolf Seedorf came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Zonnetje in huis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudolf Seedorf couldn't finish the play. Antony Warnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Loyola in the 23rd minute of play. Antony Warnier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Loyola in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes AJAX AMSTERDAM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfred Fromsejer who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Zonnetje in huis's Elias Loyola got a free kick in the 30th minute. Jos Maseland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AJAX AMSTERDAM's Antony Warnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Loyola in the 36th minute of play. Antony Warnier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Seedorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Elias Loyola scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antony Warnier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Elias Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Zonnetje in huis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Loyola couldn't finish the play. Rudolf Seedorf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antony Warnier having to interfere. After the first half Zonnetje in huis were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Zonnetje in huis's Yuri Hohenstein was substituted for Karsten van Fessum. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roelof Kroon made a kick off. Antony Warnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Loyola in the 56th minute of play. Sigfred Fromsejer made a great header on Zonnetje in huis's corner, it was just that AJAX AMSTERDAM's Antony Warnier managed to reach the ball for a save. After 62nd play minutes Elias Loyola shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Antony Warnier and just under the crossbar into goal. Elias Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Loyola took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antony Warnier. Antony Warnier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. AJAX AMSTERDAM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Elias Loyola scored to the left of an out of position Antony Warnier, making the score, 0-7. When Elias Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Zonnetje in huis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Loyola couldn't finish the play. A collision led to AJAX AMSTERDAM getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jos Maseland hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, AJAX AMSTERDAM's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Loyola came free, but Antony Warnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute of the match Zonnetje in huis got a corner. AJAX AMSTERDAM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfred Fromsejer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Elias Loyola struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Antony Warnier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zonnetje in huis. 93 minutes into the match, Zonnetje in huis's Rudolf Seedorf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antony Warnier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Elias Loyola kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antony Warnier. That made the score 0-8 in the 95 minute of play.
