Ferdi Dekens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Zijdewind SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Daniël De Leeuw hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Suttum FC's Joris Timmermans got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franck Tinge in the 26th minute of play forced Suttum FC's goalkeeper Daan Robben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daan Robben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan van Zijp, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Suttum FC defense, Ferdi Dekens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daan Robben. The Suttum FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daan Robben should have stopped the shot. In the 46th match minute, Suttum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Trenning to maneuver through the defense. Daan Robben made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdi Dekens in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franck Tinge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Zijdewind SC's Sebastiaan Schattenberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sebastiaan Schattenberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zijdewind SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sebastiaan Schattenberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 52nd minute, Sebastiaan Schattenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Suttum FC booed when Zijdewind SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniël De Leeuw didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Suttum FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Vimaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daan Robben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Dekens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Sjaak Borker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Klompe came out of the goal and Sjaak Borker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sjaak Borker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sjaak Borker. Zijdewind SC's Mario Klompe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Vimaro in the 87th minute of play. Zijdewind SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
