Nijhoven's Jan Wel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Sluis in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Nijhoven defense, Arkadiusz Siekierka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Wel. The Nijhoven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Wel should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Fredrik Odén dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tjeerd Vonk, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredrik Odén was the one to do the kick off. With a left leg Tjeerd Vonk saved Fargo SC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Fargo SC's Jouke Lever got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Fargo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Odén came free, but Tjeerd Vonk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nijhoven's Jan Wel got control of the ball when Arkadiusz Siekierka tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Katarínus Reitsma during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fargo SC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Katarínus Reitsma hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Arkadiusz Siekierka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Wel. Nijhoven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arkadiusz Siekierka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jan Wel was a little too slow when Billy Sluis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-4. After 77th play minutes Virgilio Mangas shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Jan Wel and just under the crossbar into goal. Nijhoven's Jan Wel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Siekierka in the 85th minute of play. Geale Idelberger kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Fargo SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fargo SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
