Gido Hoogland was slow to take the kick. During this time Harzan FC's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wouter Zimmer in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Oldenborger saved MK Investments from getting behind. Gooitzen Meinders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Poremba, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to MK Investments getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jan Oosterveld hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Bults in the 16th minute of play forced Harzan FC's goalkeeper Gooitzen Meinders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wouter Zimmer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Poremba in the 47th minute of play forced Harzan FC's goalkeeper Gooitzen Meinders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half MK Investments were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gido Hoogland to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60thth minute of the game Pascal Bults who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Harzan FC's Gooitzen Meinders was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Waclaw Poremba came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the MK Investments fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waclaw Poremba couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Waclaw Poremba sped through Harzan FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gooitzen Meinders. 72 minutes into the match, Gido Hoogland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Oldenborger. MK Investments's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gido Hoogland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the match was over MK Investments could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Harzan FC throughout the match.
