When Jochem Wijnands fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored afc champs's protests and gave Jochem Wijnands a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, afc champs's Jochem Wijnands got a free kick in the 18th minute. Wouter Zimmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gigi Donnarumma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Ronny Dussel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 played minutes, afc champs's Klaas Jan Kramer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gooitzen Meinders came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in afc champs reached it. Gooitzen Meinders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Blicharz in the 37th minute of the match. Gigi Donnarumma was a little too slow when Chris Kimman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wouter Zimmer in the 45th minute of play forced afc champs's goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gido Hoogland was the one to do the kick off. Ferdi Witting hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Chris Kimman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes of play, Harzan FC's Wouter Zimmer made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
