Herman Mussies started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Kevin Newman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sonny Trulsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Bouwman in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Young Ones's goalkeeper Sonny Trulsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernest Kleinman got free with Sonny Trulsson in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Ernest Kleinman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sonny Trulsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, The Young Ones's Harmen Zorge got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ernest Kleinman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Trulsson having to interfere. Kevin Newman had several of the The Young Ones's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Sonny Trulsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 35 played minutes The Young Ones got a freekick which was hit by Victor Bouwman. The De Ontembare Leeuwen fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when De Ontembare Leeuwen's Kevin Newman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harmen Zorge during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Harmen Zorge hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Sonny Trulsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Kevin Newman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sonny Trulsson. That made the score 4-0 in the 44 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kevin Newman to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Jacco Hoving cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sonny Trulsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victor Bouwman's late challenge caught a De Ontembare Leeuwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Bouwman helped the player get up and apologised. Sonny Trulsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Kleinman in the 57th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Kevin Newman made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sonny Trulsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Henk-Jan Zandberg had to leave the field with a concussion. The Young Ones made a substitution. Humberto Olfers replaced Henk-Jan Zandberg. A collision led to De Ontembare Leeuwen getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ernest Kleinman hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, The Young Ones's Wim Westra got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes, Kevin Newman made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. The Young Ones's Sonny Trulsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. De Ontembare Leeuwen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Kleinman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sonny Trulsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 minutes, Kevin Newman made it 12-0 with a short kick to the right side. The Young Ones's Sonny Trulsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
