The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gigi Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenik Hoffhuis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. afc champs's Gigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenik Hoffhuis in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Waclaw Poremba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gigi Donnarumma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute Pascal Bults shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jochem Wijnands received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Peter Oldenborger came out and tried to block the shot, but Jochem Wijnands slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. The supporters of afc champs booed when MK Investments was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jos van Rijswijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Domenik Hoffhuis fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MK Investments's protests and gave Domenik Hoffhuis a yellow card for diving instead. Domenik Hoffhuis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Klaas Jan Kramer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Oldenborger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, afc champs's goal looked a bit too open when Domenik Hoffhuis came free, but Gigi Donnarumma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibau De Jaeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Pascal Bults shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Waclaw Poremba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibau De Jaeger in the 45th minute of play forced afc champs's goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigi Donnarumma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Bults in the 46th minute of play. Gigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenik Hoffhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bolli Bompastor was the one to do the kick off. Bolli Bompastor charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bolli Bompastor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Bolli Bompastor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigi Donnarumma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenik Hoffhuis in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Gerard Lever reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gigi Donnarumma. The goal made the score 1-3. Gigi Donnarumma made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Gerard Lever sent off a good shot on target. Waclaw Poremba in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gigi Donnarumma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 83rd minute MK Investments were awarded a corner. Domenik Hoffhuis went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on MK Investments's corner Domenik Hoffhuis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gigi Donnarumma quite easily take care of the ball. Gigi Donnarumma made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Waclaw Poremba sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Waclaw Poremba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigi Donnarumma was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. MK Investments's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
