After 2 played minutes FC Geitenkamp got a freekick which was hit by Gijs Roorda. Dedé Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Kimman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Chris Kimman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedé Magalhães. FC Geitenkamp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris Kimman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Frits Randag hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Geitenkamp's zone, Gido Hoogland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedé Magalhães came out of the goal and Gido Hoogland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes in the game, Chris Kimman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dedé Magalhães having to interfere. Harzan FC's Gooitzen Meinders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Isauro in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Gido Hoogland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dedé Magalhães saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Harzan FC booed when FC Geitenkamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaap van Dinteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Zenden hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Geitenkamp's zone, Gido Hoogland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedé Magalhães came out of the goal and Gido Hoogland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedé Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Kimman in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Kimman in the 44th minute of play forced FC Geitenkamp's goalkeeper Dedé Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ate Zilverberg got free with Dedé Magalhães in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ate Zilverberg made a kick off. With an all-out effort, FC Geitenkamp's Gooitzen Meinders threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredão Quintal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57thth minute of the game Alfredão Quintal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Harzan FC's Gooitzen Meinders was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dedé Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gido Hoogland went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Dedé Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gido Hoogland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gooitzen Meinders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredão Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gido Hoogland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dedé Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Gido Hoogland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harzan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Dedé Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ate Zilverberg's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Gido Hoogland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Harzan FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
