After 6 minutes Telgt's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kryspin Weyna who took care of the corner kick. Antonio Txaran struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Sören Bachmeier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Telgt. Richard Grommers hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Michael Stekelenburg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Telgt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Sören Bachmeier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Txaran in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Txaran got free with Sören Bachmeier in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michael Stekelenburg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Sören Bachmeier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Weyna in the 22nd minute of play forced Telgt's goalkeeper Zsigmond Bodor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Houtendoel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Kort to maneuver through the defense. Sören Bachmeier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Houtendoel's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Txaran came free, but Sören Bachmeier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Telgt's zone, Kryspin Weyna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zsigmond Bodor came out of the goal and Kryspin Weyna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Telgt getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Carsten Westerink hit a great ball. Telgt's Zsigmond Bodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Weyna in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Houtendoel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Grommers to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute Antonio Txaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Bachmeier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Bachmeier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Stekelenburg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Benigno Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Bachmeier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Zsigmond Bodor successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Telgt's Zsigmond Bodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Erik Ekeroth in the 83rd minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Telgt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Waidijk to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Kryspin Weyna in the 92nd minute really tested Zsigmond Bodor's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Stef Pruischer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zsigmond Bodor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Telgt's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
