After 7 played minutes Harzan FC got a freekick which was hit by Werner Korevaar. 11 minutes into the game, Wouter Zimmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zsigmond Bodor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Harzan FC's goalkeeper Gooitzen Meinders, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Michael Stekelenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Harzan FC's zone, Michael Stekelenburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gooitzen Meinders came out of the goal and Michael Stekelenburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gooitzen Meinders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Txaran in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Stekelenburg got free with Gooitzen Meinders in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th match minute, Harzan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Duinhoven to maneuver through the defense. Gooitzen Meinders was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Antonio Txaran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Txaran really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The supporters of Telgt booed when Harzan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Korevaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match 尹诚坚 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gooitzen Meinders skillfully saved the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Harzan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Shantala came free, but Gooitzen Meinders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Telgt got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Kissas. After a rather tough play, Telgt's Benigno Shantala got a free kick in the 45th minute. Antonio Txaran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Gooitzen Meinders when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Txaran to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Benigno Shantala made a precise shot to the right of Gooitzen Meinders. Harzan FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The supporters of Telgt booed when Harzan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Korevaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Harzan FC defense, Michael Stekelenburg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gooitzen Meinders. The Harzan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gooitzen Meinders should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Benigno Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gooitzen Meinders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gooitzen Meinders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Shantala's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Gooitzen Meinders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harzan FC's Gooitzen Meinders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Shantala in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Chris Kimman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harzan FC and the Telgt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Harzan FC's Chris Kimman got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gooitzen Meinders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gooitzen Meinders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benigno Shantala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Gooitzen Meinders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gooitzen Meinders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Txaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Telgt had played much better football throughout.
