The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Mancini got free with Mario Kiewiet in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, The Maquis's Niels Rooy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Kiewiet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walther Jano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Boshuis went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute, Niels Rooy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Kiewiet was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Walther Jano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Verweijen in the 81st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Maquis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
