With his leg Taco Uebels managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Verwachting's Twan Hesseling fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 41stth minute of the game Twan Hesseling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Benefica's Taco Uebels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Fc Benefica getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ture Asklöv hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Twan Hesseling to make the kick off. Herbert Hilhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Soares in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Koekkoek to maneuver through the defense. Twan Hesseling hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If David Wilmink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Adriaan Kuypers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Taco Uebels was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 72ndth minute of the game Twan Hesseling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Benefica's Taco Uebels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Wilmink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Herbert Hilhorst made a huge save. Leandro Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herbert Hilhorst having to make a save. Herbert Hilhorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Soares in the 75th minute of the match. Leandro Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Hilhorst having to interfere. Taco Uebels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Twan Hesseling, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When the referee ended the match the Verwachting players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
