Aleksandr Vasyutin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burak Öz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th match minute, Revenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berend Hermensen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kees Koole in the 21st minute of play forced Jacksonville 67's goalkeeper Rogelio Hanni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Revenge players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jacksonville 67 were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Revenge's Kees Koole got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogelio Hanni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kees Koole went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kees Koole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aleksandr Vasyutin made an important save on a dangerous shot by King Batistuta in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Kees Koole had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogelio Hanni.
