Filippo Inzaghi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Wilfried Henselmans when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kees Koole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Wilfried Henselmans made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Teodor Jokiranta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Osdorp FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodor Jokiranta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksandr Vasyutin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Revenge's Paul Klee quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mustafa Barış Tekindağ, made in the 20th minute of the game. Wilfried Henselmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kees Koole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Revenge's Kees Koole nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfried Henselmans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Revenge's Aleksandr Vasyutin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Jokiranta in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute Pedro Porro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksandr Vasyutin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henk-Jan Linders hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Aleksandr Vasyutin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Ixona in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Filippo Inzaghi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Osdorp FC's Wilfried Henselmans. Wilfried Henselmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilfried Henselmans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippo Inzaghi in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute Teodor Jokiranta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksandr Vasyutin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack de Koning got free with Aleksandr Vasyutin in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aleksandr Vasyutin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Osdorp FC's Pedro Porro. But to his dismay, Pedro Porro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mustafa Barış Tekindağ made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Victor Ixona immediately put the ball in play. In the 66th match minute, Revenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigurd Abbas to maneuver through the defense. Osdorp FC's Douwe de Haan was substituted for Pedro Porro. In the 67th minute, Sigurd Abbas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Klee kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Revenge's Kees Koole got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfried Henselmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Chucho, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Wilfried Henselmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kees Koole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osdorp FC made a substitution. Frank Wiegmann replaced Ty Dijkstra. Many of Osdorp FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Osdorp FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Revenge were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
