Spectators: 9249 (Terracing: 6938, Seating: 2127, VIP seats: 184) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Twan Hesseling kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Twan Hesseling got free with Ralph Roeles in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriaan Kuypers who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Oliver van Kampen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ralph Roeles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ralph Roeles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruud Geels in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Verwachting were awarded a corner. Adriaan Kuypers went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Huib Staarman got a free kick in the 26th minute. With an all-out effort, Verwachting's Ralph Roeles threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Twan Hesseling, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 32 minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriaan Kuypers who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Christijan Schreuder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwachting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christijan Schreuder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herbert Hilhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan de Vlieger in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Julias Rascals Apeldoorn were awarded a corner. Zebastian Bergfeldt went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Zebastian Bergfeldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Herbert Hilhorst quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan de Vlieger in the 42nd minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Adriaan Kuypers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verwachting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Julias Rascals Apeldoorn the free kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan de Vlieger made a kick off. Herbert Hilhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Huib Staarman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verwachting and the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Huib Staarman hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jakov Cvjetković's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herbert Hilhorst firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karel Kimman during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Karel Kimman. Ralph Roeles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Twan Hesseling's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When Verwachting's Twan Hesseling in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Caiola in the 72nd minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Kimman to maneuver through the defense. Twan Hesseling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Jan de Vlieger got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst got control of the ball when Johan Saveneij tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Karel Kimman hit a great ball. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christijan Schreuder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst got control of the ball when Jan de Vlieger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 95 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Tarvi Koop. After 96 played minutes, Verwachting's Adriaan Kuypers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ralph Roeles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verwachting reached it. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
