The audience was convinced that Inácio Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mirko Vervoort was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 20th minute of the match Mijdrecht Maffia got a corner. De Kasteelheren's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bram Reinhard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bram Wessel, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Mijdrecht Maffia's Bram Wessel managed to work through De Kasteelheren's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bram Wessel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Inácio Amaral made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort got control of the ball when Inácio Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Anthony Hillen came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the De Kasteelheren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Hillen couldn't finish the play. Bram Reinhard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 西门 亮 in the 58th minute of play. Inácio Amaral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Mirko Vervoort when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jos Everts kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Kurt Holthuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mijdrecht Maffia's Mirko Vervoort played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Rodenboog in the 68th minute of play. Bram Reinhard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 西门 亮 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bram Reinhard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bram Wessel's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juvenal Vaz in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bram Reinhard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 西门 亮 in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bram Reinhard saved De Kasteelheren from getting behind. After 93 minutes, Wouter Matthijs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mijdrecht Maffia and the De Kasteelheren players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mijdrecht Maffia's Wouter Matthijs got a free kick in the 94th minute. De Kasteelheren's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
