Spectators: 9318 (Terracing: 6990, Seating: 2143, VIP seats: 185) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joakim Olsson kicked off to start the match. Ramon Simons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjen de Boer in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Martijn Jol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan de Boer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorpshaven's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tom Hedvall in the 10th minute. The corner led Dorpshaven's Tom Hedvall to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan de Boer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joakim Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dorpshaven's Joakim Olsson in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sons of Strategy's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute of the match, Martijn Jol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan de Boer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franck Akkerman during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franck Akkerman hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Wilco Heida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Simons having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Pool in the 30th minute of play forced Dorpshaven's goalkeeper Ramon Simons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan de Boer came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Dorpshaven's Martijn Jol. But to his dismay, Martijn Jol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Dorpshaven's Ramon Simons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Pool in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Pool in the 46th minute of play forced Dorpshaven's goalkeeper Ramon Simons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Arjen de Boer made the kick off in the second half. Jan de Boer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damien Roetering in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match, Arnold Pool got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ramon Simons was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marinus Abbenbroek during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Marinus Abbenbroek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Dorpshaven's Reinier Ieberink got a free kick in the 60th minute. Arnold Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Dorpshaven booed when Sons of Strategy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Pool didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Martijn Jol made a precise shot to the right of Jan de Boer. Sons of Strategy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 75th minute Damien Roetering shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan de Boer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joakim Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sons of Strategy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dorpshaven the free kick. In the 86th minute, Mike Westerink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Sons of Strategy's goal looked a bit too open when Martijn Jol came free, but Jan de Boer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sons of Strategy's Marco Bos got a free kick in the 91st minute. Dorpshaven's Joakim Olsson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorpshaven were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sons of Strategy for a fine match.
