With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Jakobsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Dorpshaven's goal looked a bit too open when Gooitzen Oosting came free, but Ramon Simons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martijn Jol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gertjan Hardering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Adrian Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Franck Akkerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raymond Vives's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Simons read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Gooitzen Oosting took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Simons. Ramon Simons dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 40 minutes into the match, Dorpshaven's goal looked a bit too open when Audun Richardsen came free, but Ramon Simons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Alfred Dobrowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dorpshaven fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Adrian Jakobsson stood somewhat misplaced when Alfred Dobrowski came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 48 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Dobrowski made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Knollenveld FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gertjan Hardering came free, but Adrian Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Dorpshaven were awarded a corner. Tom Hedvall went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Audun Richardsen in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Simons saved Dorpshaven from getting behind. The supporters of Knollenveld FC booed when Dorpshaven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Camavinga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dorpshaven's zone, Napoleon Gollob stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Simons came out of the goal and Napoleon Gollob tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Jol, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Napoleon Gollob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
