Dante Ixaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Moorlag, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Moorlag's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Ixaka was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as VV Succes's Esteban Ermano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mirko Vervoort. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. If Edgardo Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. VV Succes's Dante Ixaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Moorlag in the 34th minute of play. Esteban Ermano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Mirko Vervoort made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Gert Smits notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of VV Succes's Dante Ixaka. Dante Ixaka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Moorlag in the 72nd minute of play forced VV Succes's goalkeeper Dante Ixaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mirko Vervoort made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Ermano in the 79th minute of play. In the 87th minute of the match, Benjamin Moorlag tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Ixaka saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee ended the match the VV Succes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
