Potentia defense, Inácio Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathijs Tevreden. The S.C. Potentia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathijs Tevreden should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mathijs Tevreden. Mathijs Tevreden yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. After 18 minutes of play, S.C. Potentia's Kristján Kipper made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bram Reinhard was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Inácio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Inácio Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's Kristján Kipper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bram Reinhard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Inácio Amaral in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mathijs Tevreden, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mathijs Tevreden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Rodenboog in the 32nd minute of the match. Potentia's corner Roman Pitin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bram Reinhard quite easily take care of the ball. Mathijs Tevreden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Amaral in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inácio Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, S.C. Potentia's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Rodenboog came free, but Mathijs Tevreden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Erik Rensenbrink. Bram Reinhard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristján Kipper, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, De Kasteelheren's Harold Rodenboog nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mathijs Tevreden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. S.C. Potentia's Mathijs Tevreden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Rodenboog in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, S.C. Potentia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. S.C. Potentia's Mathijs Tevreden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi Vorenkamp in the 72nd minute of play. Inácio Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathijs Tevreden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's goalkeeper Bram Reinhard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristján Kipper. The supporters of De Kasteelheren booed when S.C. Potentia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Potentia's Bram Reinhard threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roman Pitin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. S.C. Potentia's Marian Tufescu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 97th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bram Reinhard but with some difficulty. De Kasteelheren's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
