Spectators: 10941 (Terracing: 8207, Seating: 2516, VIP seats: 218) After having played for 6 minutes, Ditlev Delmont managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ditlev Delmont was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Ágætis Byrjun defense, Dan Kjellman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Hagberg. The Ágætis Byrjun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Hagberg should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Nick Heesen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ágætis Byrjun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 16th minute of the match, Dan Kjellman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Georg Hagberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Georg Hagberg managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when FC Bal op het Dak's Joop Bakker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nick Heesen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harvey Davies read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Dan Kjellman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Georg Hagberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Georg Hagberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-Paul Locatelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 33rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Válbson Almeida in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ágætis Byrjun's Gert van den Bergh. Georg Hagberg made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Joop Bakker sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Bal op het Dak fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Kjellman to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Nick Heesen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harvey Davies. FC Bal op het Dak's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nick Heesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Harvey Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marick Brunt in the 63rd minute of the match. Artur Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Georg Hagberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Martijn August shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Melis to maneuver through the defense. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Alejandro dos Santos replaced Gert van den Bergh. Ernst Melis kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Martijn August ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Hagberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. FC Bal op het Dak's Harvey Davies quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gregorio Urtsin, made in the 90th minute of the game. Harvey Davies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 90th minute of play. Nick Heesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, FC Bal op het Dak's Martijn August nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Hagberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Bal op het Dak fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ágætis Byrjun had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
