But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ksawery Gongola couldn't finish the play. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Lindelöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yorrick Zoethout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 12th minute of play. Jörgen Kjellqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yorrick Zoethout. SV Balverliefd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Angelo Renzi got a free kick in the 38th minute. With an all-out effort, FFC Merainies 03's Yorrick Zoethout threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pepijn Hummel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yorrick Zoethout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Gongola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Fabio Botello got a free kick in the 45th minute. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when SV Balverliefd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ksawery Gongola to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Pepijn Hummel sped through SV Balverliefd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yorrick Zoethout. Yorrick Zoethout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ksawery Gongola in the 69th minute of the match. Leon Craandijk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yorrick Zoethout read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Pepijn Hummel hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Steven Homan sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, FFC Merainies 03's Leon Craandijk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yorrick Zoethout made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 85 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Gongola came free, but Yorrick Zoethout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepijn Hummel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the FFC Merainies 03 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
